Amazon Can't Deliver Salvation - A Lifetime of Yesterday's 10/29/24

We only have time, energy, desire, capability, and determination to save ourselves. There is little argument that we need to. We all suffer. It's a mercy-like intervention we need. A friend explained Mercy as God giving up his only son for people's sins (talk about leading by example), so we should be open to paying forgiveness forward. To me, suffering sounds like the drawl of a whining violin, never-ending wailing from a pauseless bow rocking back and forth like an old rocking chair, effortlessly screaming to be heard. But few listen to it for what it is—the calling.

I'm not sure I'll get a free pass, and I'm not confident I deserve one.

Listen and line up; it's like being lured by sirens seeking havoc for Odyessus' men trying to get him home. Our challenge is no less daunting.

Peace,

Chris

I am not entirely sure where this will go yet. As many of you know, I wrote about Grace a few years ago and was featured in Huff Po. After two years, I decided that Grace is"tears cascade down and pool on your chest, where everyone's heartbeats beat together." I'm working on Mercy now. This is just a start.
